I am a Professional Certified Financial Planner, Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and Financial Management Advisor and former Bank Manager. My education is continually upgraded with related courses and seminars, such as the Canadian Securities Course. I am a career banker with 30+ years of full-service banking experience ranging from teller to Branch Manager to Portfolio Manager. When I retired from the bank, I enjoyed working with a Financial Planning Company for a number of years in many different and interesting positions until I decided to start my own business. With over 40 years in the financial services industry, I have gained extensive and valuable experience dealing with a diverse group of people with varying wants and needs. I strongly believe that there is a great need in the community for basic financial education; such as money management, budgeting and saving for emergencies, retirement, etc. Without these basic skills, many financial decisions are made to the detriment of the family. It is this that has driven me to endeavour to make a difference, one client at a time. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience in an encouraging, respectful and non-judgmental manner.
